Hooray…I am so happy today
Today is a blessed day for me. I received a voice mail from newspaper’s editor last Saturday before our vacation trip to Florida about my “Power Food” article. I was anxious and excited at the same time. I called him back and of course nobody worked on the weekend. After coming back to Columbus, I was occupied with my work until this afternoon I called him and heard good news that my article has been published on this week’s local newspaper: Suburban News Publication.
Letter: Power food is the key to holding onto energy

My morning routine started with a cup of caffeine to perk me up. I worked productively until afternoon, when my body started to slow down and my brain told me to snooze. In the evening after dinner, my system was shut down completely. Sitting down on the couch in front of the television for the evening was too lovely to be missed.
Nowadays, busy schedules mean less time for us to prepare food from scratch. It is more convenient and economical to purchase pre-prepared and processed foods that actually release their sugars too quickly into the bloodstream, giving us a short-lived energy “high” followed by fatigue and a hunger-inducing “low.”
Most people hold responsible the aging factor, work or daily chores for feeling tired all the time.
There is one thing that we can change to make better lives: take control of what we eat. We improve our diet by including power food — such as fruit, vegetables, fish, nuts, seeds, beans and good quality lean meats — to boost our energy levels. They release their energy in a slow, steady fashion, helping to avoid dramatic sugar highs and lows, leaving us feeling energized and sustained all day long.
